A note from David:

I never start from zero.

Working with existing media like record covers and pages from books is part of my intention to give shape to what already exists, to rearrange what is out there, interpreting what it has to say. I want to capture the connections between different concepts without worrying about the logic behind them. One image leads to another the same way that thoughts stream though your mind without you knowing why. It’s not necessary to try to define with words questions that can be asked by the images themselves.
